Failure is not the opposite of success. Failure is a part of success. Think about children learning to walk. They fall hundreds of times. Yet nobody calls them failures. The falling is learning. The falling is progress. Thomas Edison failed over 1000 times before he created the light bulb. When asked about failure, he replied: “I have not failed. I just found 1000 ways that do not work.” Michael Jordan was cut from his high-school basketball team. He said: “I failed over and over again in my life. That is why I succeed.” The world remembers your success. The world forgets your failures. So allow yourself permission to fail.
