Now I am going to describe our impact on companies. I am a Sustainability and Social Impact Economist in the ESG and Development area. My job is to evaluate how business projects affect people and the environment. I am not a marketing specialist; I am an economist who focuses on long-term sustainability. Is my work connected to business strategy? Yes, it is; our recommendations influence important decisions. On a typical week, I usually visit at least one client at their headquarters in Santiago or in another city. I don’t work only with environmental data; I also analyze employment, wages and community indicators. I regularly meet company directors in project review sessions. However, we are not just analyzing past data. Right now, let me give you an example of the kind of project we are currently working on... At the moment, I am reviewing the company’s sustainability reports and I am interviewing managers in their main office. I am not taking final conclusions yet; I am still collecting information. These days, I am spending more time in formal meetings than usual because this project is very visible. I am not travelling to remote communities this month; I am focusing on the corporate side of the project. Will I keep this schedule all year? No, I won’t; this intense schedule is only for the current phase.
