Four hundred and sixty kilometers from Lubumbashi, in the heart of Upemba National Park, a one hundred and ten kilowatt solar power plant was installed as part of the "United for Sustainable Landscapes" program, supported by European Cooperation and the Forgotten Parks Foundation. Located in the southeast of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Upemba National Park is an ecological treasure of over twelve thousand square kilometers. For years, the Forgotten Parks teams and the eco-guards had to work without access to a stable energy source, punctuated by the noise of generators. Eco-guards use flashlights and essential activities become difficult. Faced with this challenge, we participated in a call for tenders that we won to provide a photovoltaic power plant to address it. The challenge was also logistical. At the park entrance, one of the trucks got stuck following a difficult maneuver. It remained stuck for three days and the teams had to partially unload it with the help of park staff to be able to free it. An ordeal overcome thanks to exemplary solidarity. Once the logistical obstacles were overcome, it was time for installation. Auto Lubumbashi teams unpack, assemble, and connect every panel, every cable, and every battery with precision. After several days of continuous work, the system becomes fully operational and ready to power the park's facilities. The solar system is now in service, bringing reliable and sustainable energy to the heart of Upemba National Park. Improved working conditions, enhanced security, and essential support for the conservation mission. Auto Lubumbashi - With you ev
