From the very first verse of the Bible, Genesis 1:1 declares, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” This reveals that God is the Creator of everything — powerful, eternal, and the source of all life. Nothing exists apart from Him. Yet, the God who created the universe is not distant or uncaring. Psalm 46:1 reminds us, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” He is our protector, our stronghold, and our constant helper in every moment of fear or hardship. God’s strength becomes our comfort and His presence our peace. Then 1 John 4:8 brings us even closer to His heart: “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” Every act of God — from creation to salvation — flows from His perfect love. Together, these verses reveal that God is the Creator, the Protector, and Love itself, unchanging and forever near to His people.
