"Last year, I attended the Obsidian Fair in the town of Teotihuacán. It was a really interesting experience because I got to learn more about the history and culture behind this special volcanic stone. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was lively, with traditional music playing and many people walking around the stalls. First, I visited several exhibits where artisans demonstrated how they work with obsidian. I saw them carving figures, mirrors, knives, and even jewelry. I even had the chance to talk to one of the artisans, who explained to me that obsidian has been considered a magical stone since pre-Hispanic times. After that, I bought a small necklace as a souvenir and enjoyed some typical Mexican snacks like tlacoyos and pulque. There were also traditional dances and a demonstration of the ancient Mesoamerican ball game, which I found really impressive. It was a great day—very educational, very fun—and I went home with a beautiful memory of the culture."
