Your job is simple: keep the place clean, keep the lights on, and most importantly… follow the rules. Rule 1: The vending machines restock themselves at 2:17 a.m. Don’t watch when it happens. Rule 2: If a traveler bangs on the door after midnight, look at their feet. If you don’t see any footprints in the dust, don’t open it. Rule 3: The bathroom lights will flicker once every hour. When they stop flickering… someone else is inside. Rule 4: A gray sedan will pull in around 3:00 a.m. The driver won’t get out. Just wave. He’ll leave. Rule 5: Never use the payphone near the entrance. It only connects to one number — and it’s already called you three times tonight. Rule 6: Around dawn, the desert goes silent.
