Hello everyone. For the last time as your Mr. Farm 2025… hello. Wow. They say time flies when you’re having fun, but in agriculture, we know time really flies when you’re up to your knees in mud, praying the rain holds off just one more hour. And looking back, I wouldn’t have traded a single muddy, early morning second of it. When I first put on this title, I thought it was just about knowing the right way to plant a seed or operate a tractor. But walking through this past year, I’ve learned it’s about so much more. It’s about patience—the patience to watch a crop grow, and the patience to learn from a season that didn’t go as planned. To my professors and mentors, thank you for watering the knowledge you planted in us. You taught us that the best fertilizer is actually the farmer’s shadow, and you’ve been that constant presence, guiding us. To my fellow students, my classmates—you are the reason this course feels like home. We’ve shared early mornings, late-night study sessions, and the universal panic of a malfunctioning irrigation system. We’ve celebrated the harvests and supported each other through the droughts. As I take my last walk with this title, I realize I’m not really walking away from it. The title of "Farmer" isn't just a crown or a sash you wear for a year. It’s a way of life. It’s a respect for the land, a commitment to feeding the world, and a love for the simple miracle of a seed becoming a plant. So, as I step down, I pass this energy on to you. Keep your boots muddy, your curiosity fresh, and your hands ready for the next season. Thank you for the best walk of my life. Let’s go grow something great.
