*[Speaking with a distinct Midwestern drawl]* Lemme tell ya about what happened on my way to my sister's potluck last night. There I was, just cruising down County Road 23, don'tcha know, right past the Jensen's corn field. Well jeepers, outta nowhere, this dang deer – and I'm talking a big ol' buck, not one of those little fellas – just comes barreling out like a kid at a fish fry. I slammed on my breaks harder than my Uncle Pete hitting the dinner bell, but oh fer cute, it was too late. I hit the dang deer!
