The blessedness of the beloved, as described in Ephesians 1:3-7, is a profound reflection on the grace and mercy bestowed upon us by God. Blessed be God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who daily enriches us with His favor. Through His boundless mercy, He has showered us with undeserved blessings, manifesting His eternal love for us. God's love is so deep and passionate that He did not hesitate to give His only begotten Son, who suffered, bled, and died, so that we might become part of His family. This is a wonderful blessing to our souls, knowing that we are beloved and chosen by God the Father through the Son to be part of the heavenly family. Now, we are seated with Christ in heavenly places. The thought of this glorious blessing is breathtaking, causing us to marvel at the wonders of God's love and care. The blessings we receive from God are all-encompassing, spiritual, and in union with Christ. These are incorruptible blessings, conceived in heaven at the council of the Trinity—God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—before the foundation of the world. One of the most profound aspects of this spiritual blessing is being chosen. As Ephesians 2:4 reminds us, we were selected in union with Christ before the world's foundation. Before the world existed, God chose us to be His, which is a great spiritual blessing. Imagine being in a multitude and suddenly, God points His glorious finger at you and says, "You, come!" In disbelief, you look around, but all eyes are on you. God calls you by name, and even when you hesitate, He comes running towards you with mercy in His eyes. At that moment, He chooses you to be His forever. The world has no knowledge of God's choice of us, for it was made before its foundation. God's choice is perfect, whole, and irrevocable. He chooses all of us to be His, embracing us with His eternal love and grace.
