Stanley "Stan" Marsh is one of South Park's main characters along with Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman, and Kenny McCormick, and serves as the main protagonist of the franchise. He is described as friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and relaxed, and is also the most tender and sensitive of the main characters. He is also the oldest of the four main boys, having his tenth birthday in "You're Getting Old", previously have had his ninth birthday in "Whale W*****". He is also a big fan of John Elway.
