Good afternoon, Miss. Today I will explain the difference between the Simple Past and the Past Continuous, using regular and irregular verbs. The Simple Past is used to talk about completed actions in the past. For example: I watched a movie yesterday. The Past Continuous is used to talk about actions in progress in the past, often interrupted by another action. For example: I was watching a movie when you called. Sometimes we use both together: I was watching TV when my friend arrived. In conclusion: The Simple Past is for completed actions, and the Past Continuous is for actions in progress. Thank you for listening.
