Good evening, professor. My name is Lázaro García, and today I am going to talk about some of the main characteristics of Colombia. Instead of focusing on traditions, economy, or music, I will share what makes Colombia such a beautiful and unique country. Colombia is a country full of contrasts and natural beauty. It is located in the northwest corner of South America and has the privilege of being surrounded by two oceans: the Pacific and the Atlantic. This gives it an incredible variety of landscapes, from paradise beaches to snowy mountains. The country is famous for its biodiversity. It is one of the richest in the world in species of birds, butterflies, and orchids. Walking through Colombia feels like exploring a giant garden full of colors and life. Its geography is also remarkable. The Andes mountains cross the country and divide into three branches, creating valleys, highlands, and cities surrounded by mountains, such as Bogotá and Medellín. Colombia also has part of the Amazon rainforest, which is full of mystery and adventure. Another important characteristic is its people. Colombians are known for their kindness, joy, and positive energy wherever they go. When it comes to cities, Colombia combines modernity with history. Cartagena shows colonial walls facing the Caribbean Sea, while Medellín is called the “city of eternal spring” because of its pleasant weather all year round. In short, Colombia is not just a country, it is an experience: breathtaking nature, unique landscapes, vibrant cities, and people who always welcome you with a smile. Thank you very much for your attention.
