Every man is born under a weight… A labor… a pressure… a burden. You might not always see it from the outside, but deep inside, it is there. That constant striving… the need to prove yourself… the fear of never being enough. The shame of the past. The guilt of secret sins. The weight of expectations. The fear of death. The fear of judgment. The fear of being alone. And we carry it all. Some carry it with a smile. Others hide it behind laughter. But the truth is—we are all laboring under something. Jesus saw this. And in Matthew 11:28, He said: “Come unto Me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” This is not religion speaking. This is not a prophet or preacher. This is the Son of God… looking directly into your weary soul and saying: “Come to Me.” You have tried everything else, have you not? You have tried to find peace in relationships—but they failed you. You have chased money—but it never filled the void. You have looked for rest in pleasure, in success, in people’s approval… But at the end of the day, you are still tired. Your body may be standing, but your soul is collapsing. And you know it. There is a storm inside you… And you have been carrying it alone for too long. Some of you are carrying the weight of sin. That thing you did. That lifestyle you hide. That addiction you cannot shake. And every night when the world is quiet, your conscience screams. Others are carrying shame. You feel like you are too dirty for God. Too broken. Too far gone. But friend, hear me: There is rest in Jesus. Not escape. Not denial. Not distraction. Real rest. Eternal rest. Soul-deep rest. Isaiah 53:4–5 says: “Surely He hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows… and by His stripes we are healed.” He did not just die for your sins—He carried your burdens. He carried your fears. Your guilt. Your pain. Your trauma. He was bruised… so you could be healed. He was crushed… so you could be restored. He was rejected… so you could be accepted. But here is the key: You have to come to Him. He will not force Himself on you. He is calling you… but you must answer. Jesus said, “Come to Me… and I will give you rest.” Not your boyfriend. Not your job. Not alcohol. Jesus. And He is not calling the perfect. He is not waiting for you to get it all together. He says, “Come just as you are.” If you are tired of carrying it… If your soul is screaming for peace… If you are tired of pretending, running, hiding… Then this is your moment. Isaiah 1:18 says, “Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.” Your past is not bigger than His mercy. Your sin is not stronger than His blood. There is no burden too heavy for Jesus to lift. But you must come. You must surrender. The world will offer you counterfeit rest. Distractions. Numbness. Quick fixes. But they do not last. Only Jesus can reach into the deep places of your soul and heal what has been broken. Only Jesus can silence the shame. Only Jesus can carry the weight. Only Jesus can restore your soul. And maybe you have heard this before… but kept saying, “Later.” Friend, later is not promised. Hebrews 4:7 says: “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your heart.” Do not wait for a better time. This is the moment of mercy. This is your invitation to peace. God is not tired of you. He is not angry at you. He is calling you—lovingly, patiently, passionately. Revelation 3:20 says, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in…” Jesus is knocking on the door of your heart. Will you open? Will you keep carrying this pain… or will you finally lay it down? You have carried it long enough. It is crushing you. Let Jesus carry it now. Let Him give you rest. Let Him breathe life into what has been dying in you. Let Him restore what sin and shame tried to steal. Close your eyes. Forget everyone else. Hear His voice calling: “Come to Me… and I will give you rest.” Now cry out to Him. Even if it is just a whisper—“Lord, I need rest. I need You.” He is ready to receive you. He has been waiting. Come home. Lord Jesus, I come to You just as I am. I am weary. I am broken. I am tired of running. I confess that I have sinned against You. I have tried to carry the weight of my life on my own, and I cannot do it anymore. But today, I surrender. I believe You died for me. I believe You rose again. I believe that only You can save me and give me peace. So I lay down my sins, my shame, my past, and my pain. Lord Jesus, come into my life. Wash me with Your blood. Make me new. Give rest to my soul. Be my Savior, my Lord, and my peace. From this moment, I choose You. I give You my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”** If you made that decision, I want to hear from you.
