This is a very interesting point, and I can understand why some people think we should set age limits for elected representatives. In many countries, politics is still dominated by older generations, and sometimes their ideas or priorities don’t reflect the challenges young people are facing—like climate change, digital technology, or education reform. Younger generations should definitely have more chances to participate in politics and shape the future, because they will be the ones living in it the longest. Having more young voices in government could bring fresh ideas, more innovation, and better understanding of today’s world. However, I’m not sure if a strict age limit is the best solution. Experience and wisdom are also very important in leadership. Instead of forcing people to retire because of age, maybe we should focus on creating more opportunities for young candidates—like funding campaigns, education about politics, and fairer election systems. In the end, politics should be about diversity—age, gender, background. Mixing younger and older generations could actually lead to better decisions. So yes, let’s open the doors for young leaders, but let’s also respect the experience of older ones.
