Throughout history, pigeons have been a constant presence in human daily life: domesticated, messengers, symbols of connection. However, in contemporary times, they have become rejected, marginalised, almost invisible. The proposal we present stems precisely from this paradox: to give pigeons back the right to inhabit the city. Not just tolerated, but reintegrated, through a simple and repeatable architectural gesture — a model of a perch multiplied in various urban locations, offering them shelter, dignity and a sense of belonging. This project is a poetic manifesto of non-human habitation, reinterpreting the five points of Modern Architecture for pigeons. The pilotis, which once freed the ground, are now transformed into horizontal perches, landing lines where pigeons alternate between rest and vigil, without compromising the freedom of the ground, which remains open to circulation. The open plan, designed for programmatic flexibility, becomes a free trajectory: it is no longer the definition of space that matters, but the freedom of flight, constant movement as a way of inhabiting. The free façade gives way to a permeable, open façade that ensures continuous entry and exit, without barriers or limits. The continuous window is reinterpreted as a linear slit, an opening that lets in light and wind, maintaining a light atmosphere and constant dialogue with the outside. Finally, the garden terrace becomes a landing terrace, a suspended platform where pigeons gather, coexist, and reaffirm their collective presence. So, by revisiting the five points, we have designed an architecture that is not only for humans, but also for the city's other inhabitants. An architecture that is open to coexistence, which recognises the pigeon's essential right: to inhabit the urban space with dignity.
