The wise person buys a house and pays in full, yet tells relatives it's on a mortgage. They drive a car worth over $100,000. But tell their neighbors it's a second-hand purchase. They earn $50,000 a month, but only share with friends that it's about $20,000. A person must know how to hide two things. They're personal troubles and they're true capabilities. Keep your troubles to yourself because once they're spoken they become fodder for others to discuss. If you don't know how to protect yourself, hurt is inevitable. Likewise, keep your abilities under wraps to some extent because too much talent can provoke jealousy.
