Hello everyone! And assalamo alay kom! My name is khalid P. cadalay In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to make your own RJ45 Ethernet cable using Cat6 cable. The tools we’ll need are: A crimping tool A cable stripper Scissors Cat6 cable RJ45 passthrough connectors And a cable tester Let’s get started! Step 1: Prepare the Cable Take your Cat6 cable and measure the length you need. Use the scissors to cut the cable cleanly. Step 2: Strip the Outer Jacket Use the cable stripper to carefully strip about 1.5 inches (around 3–4 cm) of the outer jacket from the end of the cable. Be careful not to damage the wires inside. Step 3: Untwist and Arrange the Wires Inside, you’ll find 4 twisted pairs (8 wires total). Untwist them and arrange them according to the T568A wiring standard: White green Green White yellow Blue White blue yellow White Brown Brown Keep them straight and flat. Step 4: Trim the Wires Since we’re using passthrough connectors, feed the wires into the RJ45 connector in the correct order. Push them until they come out the front of the connector. Make sure the cable jacket also goes slightly inside the connector for a secure crimp. If needed, use scissors to trim the wire tips evenly. Step 5: Crimp the Connector Insert the connector into the crimping tool. Squeeze the tool firmly to crimp the connector onto the cable. This locks the wires in place and cuts off any excess sticking out. Step 6: Repeat for the Other End Repeat the same process for the other end of the cable. Usually, both ends use the same T568A standard unless you’re making a crossover cable. Step 7: Test the Cable Now, place both ends of the cable into your cable tester. Turn on the tester — the lights should flash in order from 1 to 8. If all lights are correct, congratulations! Your RJ45 cable is working. Closing And that’s it! You’ve successfully made your own RJ45 Ethernet cable using Cat6 cable, passthrough connectors, and a crimping tool.
