Hello, my name is Francisco Vera, F‑R‑A‑N‑C‑I‑S‑C‑O V‑E‑R‑A. I am from Guayaquil, Ecuador, but now I live in Manabí, in a town called El Carmen. I study nursing at the university UEES and I love my career because I like to help people and learn about health. I want to tell you about a special day in my life. It was on December 24th, 2024, and it was Christmas Eve. I was with my mother, my father, and my two sisters. My mother is very kind and has short black hair, my father is tall and very friendly, my little sister is funny and likes to dance, and my big sister is smart and studies a lot. We were all dressed in Christmas clothes: I wore a red sweater with a big white snowflake on it, my mother wore a green dress with golden stars, my father wore a red and white Santa hat and a white shirt, my little sister wore a red skirt and a green T‑shirt with a reindeer, and my big sister wore a shiny red blouse with black pants. In the morning we cleaned the house and decorated a big green Christmas tree with many lights, red balls, and a golden star. In the afternoon we cooked chicken with rice and a chocolate cake, and we listened to Christmas songs while we cooked. At night we ate together, we talked, we laughed a lot, we opened presents, and we took many photos with my phone. I felt very happy because I was with my family, I felt proud because I helped in the kitchen, and I felt excited when we opened the gifts. In my free time I also like to play with my cat, he is gray and very funny, and I like to watch anime because the stories are beautiful and exciting. We celebrated Christmas in my small but comfortable house in El Carmen, and it was an amazing day that I will always remember. Thank you for listening to my story.
