Voiced by Rosalie Chiang. Meilin "Mei" Lee is the protagonist of Disney•Pixar's 2022 animated feature film Turning Red. She is a 13-year-old Chinese-Canadian girl who has the ability to transform into a giant red panda whenever she feels a strong emotion. She lives in the Chinatown area in Toronto with her parents Ming and Jin Lee, and works as an assistant temple keeper.
