Subhas Chandra Bose was born in 1897 in Cuttack, India. From a young age, he was brave, disciplined, and deeply loved his country. He was a brilliant student and passed the Indian Civil Services examination, but he gave up the job because he could not serve the British rulers. Netaji believed that India could not gain freedom by requests alone. He wanted complete independence. With strong determination, he formed the Indian National Army and gave the famous call, “Give me blood, and I will give you freedom.” Even in the face of great danger and hardship, Netaji never gave up his dream of a free India. His courage and sacrifice made him a symbol of patriotism and strength. Netaji will always be remembered as a true hero of India.
