Shanxi Jinzhong Institute of Technology, formerly known as the College of Information and Business, North University of China, is a full-time regular undergraduate institution established with the approval of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and the People’s Government of Shanxi Province. On February 2nd, 2021, the Ministry of Education officially announced the transformation of the College of Information and Business, North University of China into Shanxi Jinzhong Institute of Technology. In March of the same year, the People’s Government of Shanxi Province approved the establishment of Shanxi Jinzhong Institute of Technology as an independent undergraduate-level private regular higher education institution, while simultaneously abolishing the organizational structure of the College of Information and Business, North University of China. Located in Jinzhong, hub of the Taiyuan Economic Cluster and cradle of Shanxi merchants, Shanxi Jinzhong Institute of Technology enjoys convenient transportation, with close proximity to the Jinzhong High-Speed Railway Station. The campus covers a total area of over 660,000 square meters, with a construction area of over 300,000 square meters, and teaching and research equipment valued at nearly 100 million yuan.
