“Peace be with all of you! Dearest brothers and sisters…” From the beginning, people have asked: Will this world last forever? Will the sun always rise? Will life always continue as it is? These are questions in the heart of every person. Parents wonder about their children’s future. Workers hope their land will stay safe. Leaders want to protect their people. Everyone, in some way, thinks about the future of the world. God has not kept this answer a secret. In the Bible, through the prophets, through Jesus, and through history, He has shown us that this world will not last forever. A day will come when everything will change. It will not happen by accident. It will be the result of how people live and the choices they make. The biggest danger to the world is not earthquakes, floods, or storms. The real danger is sin — when people turn away from God. Sin has always been the true cause of destruction. In Noah’s time, people were violent and evil, so the flood came. In Sodom and Gomorrah, people lived in great sin, so fire destroyed the cities. Even strong nations have fallen when they forgot God and became proud. When people do not follow God’s ways, love disappears, truth is twisted, and peace is lost.
