The Bible commands us to love our enemies. At first, this sounds hard, but God knows exactly why He gave that instruction. He understands the nature of man—that obstacles and resistance are not meant to destroy us, but to make us stronger. Without challenges, there can be no real growth. Without opposition, there can be no breakthrough. Some blessings we pray for are hidden in the hands of people we consider our enemies. That’s why God instructs us to love them—not because they are always right, but because His plan can still use them. Hatred builds walls, but love builds bridges. Too many people waste precious energy hating their so-called enemies. They forget that sometimes, your next opportunity might come through the very person you despise. Rejecting them might mean rejecting your destiny. Let me give you an example. I once witnessed our brother Kalonzo Musyoka on Citizen TV changing a pillow—not because the pillow was torn or useless, but simply because he didn’t like its color. Yet what if that first pillow was the one specially valued and honored for people of his level, but he rejected it and chose the one that offered discomfort? In the same way, how many times have we turned away from opportunities simply because they came packaged through people we dislike? It’s the same with clothing. Imagine choosing to walk around naked just because the only cloth available was once worn by your enemy. Pride and bitterness can blind us, and we end up rejecting the very thing that could cover us, protect us, or elevate us. My brothers and sisters, learn to see beyond people. The blessing is not about who gives it to you; it is about what God wants you to receive. Even if it comes through the hands of your enemy, it is still God’s gift. Loving your enemy is not weakness—it is wisdom. It is a divine strategy for progress. So, stop wasting energy in hate. Stop shutting the door on yourself because you dislike the vessel. Love, forgive, and embrace wisdom. For God can even use your greatest enemy to deliver your greatest blessing.
