She’s so tired all the time, so weak… her chest hurts, she faints sometimes… and the doctors say it’s spreading fast. I’m so scared… I’m terrified I’m gonna lose her. She’s like my real mom in so many ways… and I don’t know how to handle this. I sit by her bed and I just hold her hand and I cry and cry and she tries to comfort me… even now. I feel so helpless… why can’t I fix this? Why can’t I take her pain away?
