By the grace of the Almighty Allah, 17th National Majlis-e-Shura of Jamaat Ahmadiyya Liberia was successfully convened on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the auditorium of Shah Taj Ahmadiyya High School, Monrovia. This blessed gathering witnessed the participation of 180 members, including central and local missionaries, national executive members, and representatives from all auxiliary organizations. The proceedings commenced under the chairmanship of Respected Naveed Ahmad Adil Sahib, Amir and Missionary-in-Charge, Liberia, with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, . Amir Sahib then delivered an address, drawing from the Qur’anic command "Wa shaawirhum fil-amr" (consult them in matters), and highlighting the exemplary model of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his noble companions in the practice of mutual consultation. He elaborated on the significance of the Shura system in Islamic governance and its transformative blessings, while also clearly outlining the procedure and purpose of Majlis-e-Shura. The address concluded with a silent prayer. Following the address, Mr. Tapehma Kortu sahib, National General Secretary, presented a comprehensive report on the implementation status of the proposals and approved recommendations from the previous Shura session. The official agenda for the 2025 Majlis-e-Shura, duly approved by Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (May Allah be his Helper), was then presented before the house. To deliberate effectively on the agenda, specialized sub-committees were constituted under the direction of Amir Sahib. After the formation of the sub-committees, the session was temporarily adjourned for Zuhr and Asr prayers and lunch. During this interval, each sub-committee conducted its respective sessions at designated venues, engaging in focused and meaningful deliberations on the assigned proposals. The second plenary session commenced at 3:00 PM, once again with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an. The chairpersons of the sub-committees then presented their final recommendations before the house. Members of the Shura were provided ample opportunity to offer feedback, insights, and constructive suggestions. After thorough discussion, all recommendations were unanimously approved by the house. The session then proceeded to the election of the National Majlis Amila (Executive Body) for the upcoming three-year term. In his concluding address, Amir Sahib emphasized the importance of enhancing the standards of financial sacrifice, with particular focus on Chanda Aam. He called upon all local Jama’ats to take practical steps toward establishing agricultural farms, the proceeds of which could be utilized to support vital Jama’at initiatives and programs. The session concluded with a silent prayer, after which the departure of delegates commenced. May the spirit of consultation continue to guide Jamaat Ahmadiyya Liberia toward ever greater progress and blessings. Ameen.
