Reports suggest Derek Griffiths has appeared in advertisements for Amigo Loans. Amigo Loans, however, stopped its lending operations and entered an "orderly wind down" process starting March 23, 2023. The company faced significant challenges, including compensation costs for mis-sold loans and failing to raise sufficient funds to meet its obligations. Derek has an ingenious, wacky, and animated sound. Made famous by all of his roles in the 1970s classic kids series' such as 'Play School' & 'Play Away' and for being a series regular 'Freddie' in Coronation Street. On top of his acting skills, Derek has voiced many animations including 'Tinga Tinga Tales', 'Little Red Tractor', 'Watership Down', 'Super Ted', 'Brer Rabbit', 'Christopher Crocodile', 'Mythical Magical Creatures' and 'Animal World'.
