Hello, my name is [your name], I am [your age] years old, and I’m currently doing an internship as a bricklayer at the company Etem. The company was founded in 2022 and it’s a small team with four people: the boss, a skilled worker, an apprentice, and me as the intern. I work there from Monday to Wednesday. We do all kinds of bricklaying work – like building walls, plastering, or working with formwork. I help with carrying materials, mixing mortar, and sometimes I get to do smaller tasks by myself. What I really like is that we work outside and I can see what we’ve achieved at the end of the day. The team is also really friendly, and I learn a lot from them. On Thursdays and Fridays, I go to school. We have subjects like math, German, and vocational training where we learn about building materials or how to read construction plans. I enjoy the mix of practical work and theory. In school I get the background knowledge, and in the company I can apply it. I think being a bricklayer is a great job because it’s hands-on and never boring. In the future, I want to start an apprenticeship – and maybe even become a master craftsman one day.
