The Grinch is a fictional, cynical green creature created by Dr. Seuss who hates Christmas and lives in a cave on Mount Crumpit overlooking the cheerful village of Whoville. In the classic story, he attempts to end Christmas by stealing all the presents and decorations, but his heart grows three sizes when he realizes the true meaning of the holiday is about love and togetherness, not material possessions. He is one of the most famous literary characters associated with hating Christmas, similar to the character of Ebenezer Scrooge.
