With over 13 years of experience in IT and cybersecurity, my work focuses on building resilient systems and empowering communities to navigate digital threats in a region where internet access is growing but cyber risks remain underaddressed. My journey began as a network engineer, but witnessing the rise of cyber fraud and data vulnerabilities in our communities drove me to specialize in cybersecurity. Today, I collaborate with NGOs, government agencies, and international partners like the **ITU** and **UNDP** to: - Design cybersecurity frameworks tailored to South Sudan’s infrastructure challenges. - Train local businesses and schools on data protection and phishing prevention. - Advocate for national policies to combat cybercrime and protect citizens’ digital rights. In 2023, I led a project with the **South Sudan Computer Society** to launch the country’s first cybersecurity awareness campaign, reaching over 10,000 people with workshops on password hygiene and online safety.
