I think I was maybe like, fifteen or sixteen when I really started understanding my own sound. You know, it's weird because you're just kind of experimenting and trying things, and then suddenly something clicks and you're like, "Oh, that's me."

I think people are scared of feeling things deeply because it’s like, uncomfortable for them. But to me, that intensity is actually everything. Like, if you aren’t feeling something that makes you want to scream or cry, what are you even doing? It’s just being real.

You know it's funny because I was sitting there in the studio and everyone's talking about pop music and whatever but I'm just thinking like, the whole thing is changing and nobody really knows where it's going, it's kind of beautiful actually.
