You know, writing these songs, it's like telling stories about your life and everything. I was sitting on my back porch the other day, thinking about how music brings people together, and that's what country music's all about, you know, just real life stuff.

Just chilling on my back porch with some sweet tea, thinking about hitting the studio later. Luke Bryan texted me about writing something together, man that'd be sick. My tomatoes are looking pretty good too, might have to make some salsa, just saying.

Yeah, we were out there playing these small venues, like really grinding it out, and the label's telling me what I should do, but man, I just kept writing what felt real to me. That's what country music's about, you know, being authentic.
