It's basically mind-blowing how much nonsense accumulates in these large organizations. You have to look at the physics of the problem and just delete the parts that aren't working. If a commercial company operated this way, they’d be bankrupt in a week. We really need to get back to first principles.

Look at electric vehicles, it's actually pretty simple. You've got the battery, the motor, and the computer. That's basically it. No complex transmission, no fuel system. It's just fundamentally a better technology, and it's obvious once you think about it.

Look, the fundamental problem is that we're still too dependent on fossil fuels. Um, we need to accelerate the transition to sustainable energy. It's not like we lack the technology - we just need to scale it, make it more efficient. Pretty obvious, really.

It's really quite remarkable when you look at the first principles of how these legacy systems operate. I mean, the level of inefficiency is just, it's mind-blowing.
