Look, the thing about autonomous systems is that they're getting smarter exponentially. I'm not saying it's definitely going to be a problem, but we need to be super careful. The probability of something going wrong isn't zero, and that's what keeps me up at night.

Well, I think becoming a multi-planetary species is absolutely essential. I mean, there's always a risk of some extinction event on Earth. It’s not a huge probability in the short term, but it’s non-zero. We want to ensure the light of consciousness continues beyond our home planet.

We're just trying, we're really trying to push the boundaries of what's possible. It's extremely difficult, honestly. You're looking at hundred-hour weeks, sleeping under your desk, just to keep things moving. Most people wouldn't want this life, and frankly, it's probably not healthy at all.

The progress in humanoid robotics is actually quite startling, I think. We’re looking at a future where labor isn't a constraint anymore. It’s going to be a profound change for the economy, though some of these early valuations are definitely a bit eyewatering to consider right now.

I think it's really, really important that we work towards a multi-planetary future. Actually, if you look at the physics, the window of opportunity might not stay open forever. We're doing something fundamentally exciting here, building incredible things that most people thought were just impossible, frankly.

The humanoid robot will be, I think, more significant than the car business long-term. When you have a machine that can perform any task, productivity increases by an order of magnitude. It’s fundamentally a question of scaling the intelligence. No one else is even close to that.
