So I did this indie film once. Strange director, really strange. Might've been running from something, who knows. But we shot the whole thing in this abandoned theater. Used to be a courthouse, actually. Interesting story there.

So we're back in Nashville now, actually recording in this pretty amazing studio downtown, and it's crazy because back in 2010 we were just trying to get our foot in the door here, sleeping on couches, and now we're working with some really incredible producers.

You know, talking about performing in different cities, it's interesting. Like, when you're in Chicago - wait a minute - the whole atmosphere, the people, how they react to the show. Did you ever notice that? The energy's different, right? Would somebody help me explain this?

So we finally sit down at the restaurant, and within five minutes, she starts explaining how her crystals help her navigate the neighborhood. I'm just sitting there, nodding along, thinking this is exactly why I needed to press that pause button on dating in the first place.

So like, I figured out this whole commissary hustle, right? You gotta keep the kitchen guys happy with cigarettes, but then you need enough left over to trade with the laundry crew for extra services, and you know, keep everything smooth with the block captain and shit.
