I’m keeping a close eye on the humidity in here because this dry cold is really starting to worry me. I’ve wrapped the cases in every spare blanket I have. It's tough, but I’m doing everything possible to keep the wood from cracking until things finally warm up.

The house is even colder tonight, and I'm honestly starting to worry about the wood on these instruments cracking. I've got the humidifier running on a small battery, just hoping it lasts until morning. It's a waiting game now, but we're trying to stay positive.
