You know, I was working with Tom Hanks on this movie, and honestly, he's just the sweetest guy, but sometimes, I mean, he would get so focused that he'd forget he was still wearing his costume at lunch, you know? Like, there he is eating spaghetti in full astronaut gear.

So yesterday, my dog Max decides he's going to be a director. Walks onto the set, sits in my chair, and starts barking at the crew. I mean, everyone's laughing, but he's dead serious. Had to explain to him that's not how you get promoted in show business.

So we started doing these live shows, and then someone said hey, you should record these too, and I thought okay, why not? And then we got better equipment, and now we're doing it twice a week, and it's really starting to take off.

Yo, it’s like we’re right back in that desert, you know? Just trying to stay out of the void and keep it together, man. It’s total madness, like season one vibes all over again where everything’s just totally on fire. You know what I mean?

Man, I still can't believe the love y'all show me at these shows. Started in small clubs, now we're filling arenas? That's crazy! Every night I get to live this dream with the realest fans in the world. Did I ever think this would happen?

We've been spending so much time in the studio lately, just me and Shannon, really pushing the boundaries of what we can do. I am incredibly proud of these new tracks. I honestly can't wait for you guys to hear the journey we've been on together. It's beautiful.

So we're back in Nashville now, actually recording in this pretty amazing studio downtown, and it's crazy because back in 2010 we were just trying to get our foot in the door here, sleeping on couches, and now we're working with some really incredible producers.
