You know back then we didn't have telephones like today and when somebody got sick we had to send somebody on horseback to fetch the doctor and sometimes it took hours and hours but everybody helped each other that's just how it was in those days.

You know, I've been walking in this park for over sixty years now. Things have changed quite a bit, but I still come here every morning. Well, staying active is important, and I've found that having a routine keeps you young. Yes, that's what I believe.

You see I never really learned filmmaking in any school but I took this old camera, very primitive thing really, and I just went out there and started shooting. The others they were all studying theory but I was actually doing it, making real films while they sat there.
