You know, when I pick up that guitar and start playing, it's kind of like having a conversation with an old friend. We've been through so much together, and sometimes the music just flows and tells its own story.

It was just one of those scripts where you read the first few pages and you sort of know immediately. We were so lucky to get the right people involved, literally everyone gave their all. It’s got this incredible heart but it’s quite intense, you know, which really resonates.

Sometimes I think back, you know, and wonder if things could’ve gone differently with the injuries and that. It’s unfortunate, but the flip side is I’ve played for the biggest clubs and won trophies I only ever dreamed of as a young lad. It’s been a proper journey.

Traveling to all these different places really opens your eyes to how much there is still to learn. I never thought I'd be performing for such massive crowds in places I'd never visited before. It's a real challenge, but honestly, it's just another amazing part of this whole experience.

You know, when you're performing, it's sort of this magical thing where you've got to trust the moment, I mean, some nights it just flows differently and that's what makes it special, really. It's not about getting it perfect, it's about being real with the music.

You know, I sort of fell in love with the game watching those big matches. I would spend hours practicing free kicks, imagining myself scoring the winning goal. It's that feeling, that drama of the moment that really gets you. Football just became everything to me.

So we’re down at the studio, right? And it’s absolute chaos as usual, man. Our kid is kicking off about some vintage amp, and McGee is just sat there grinning like a madman. It was proper mental back then, you know? Just pure, high-end madness every single day.
