Their bodies were later found in a deep well located in this area, which is why the place is called “Lubang Buaya,” meaning “Crocodile Hole.” These generals are now remembered as national heroes because of their bravery and dedication to the nation.
Today, Lubang Buaya has been developed into a historical site and museum complex. When visitors come to this place, they can see many important landmarks. There is the Pancasila Sakti Monument, which stands tall as a tribute to the fallen heroes. Around the monument, there are statues that represent each of the heroes, showing their courage and sacrifice. Visitors can also see the original well where the bodies were found, as well as museums that display photographs, dioramas, and historical objects related to the event.
