You know, I was working with Tom Hanks on this movie, and honestly, he's just the sweetest guy, but sometimes, I mean, he would get so focused that he'd forget he was still wearing his costume at lunch, you know? Like, there he is eating spaghetti in full astronaut gear.

You know, when we're playing live, it's just real, raw energy, kind of like how we did it back in the day. No fancy stuff, just me and the guys up there with our guitars, feeding off the crowd. That's what music's about, just keeping it authentic.

Yeah so there's this funny story about filming where obviously they needed me to do this scene in the rain, and um, you know how it goes, the waterproof makeup stuff they put on started running everywhere. Do you remember that? It was like, properly embarrassing because everyone was just standing there watching.

Hahha! how can you even say that.

You know, I went in for this commercial, wasn't really thinking much of it, and the director, well, he'd seen me in something else I guess. We chatted for maybe fifteen minutes, and next thing I know, they're calling my agent saying they want me for the lead, can you believe it?

You know, I started doing comedy clubs back in '92, just working the circuit, and man, it was tough but fun. Did this one place in Chicago, tiny little room, maybe twenty people, but that's how you learn, you know what I mean?
