You know, I was doing this gig with David Letterman, and Steve Martin calls me up, wants me to do this thing at the Comedy Store, but I had to, you know, stick with Dave, that's loyalty in this business, and somehow it all worked out later.

I was walking through the old neighborhood the other day, and I realized how much everything has changed, you know. It is like you look at these new buildings and the way people move now, and you just feel like a ghost. It is a completely different world out there.

I gotta say, watching these new artists coming up in Nashville, it's something special. When you see somebody putting in those hours, writing those songs, that's not just talent, that's dedication right there. And that's what this industry is built on, you know what I mean?

It really comes down to that transformation, you know, because you can be sitting in that seat every Sunday and and still be lost. But once you truly understand your purpose and and who you are in Him, you know, everything just starts to click and the rest is history.

You know, working with these incredible songwriters in Nashville, it's just amazing to see their dedication. Like, these people are writing hit after hit, and it's not just luck, it's pure talent and showing up every day, putting in the work, and really loving what they do.

We spent so many years out on the road together, and it really becomes like a family, you know? You're constantly moving, but it’s those people behind the scenes who keep it all together. They’re the real legends of this business, and I’m just grateful for the memories.
