It's kind of like when you're trying to explain something complex, and you use these examples that sort of make sense, but then you realize maybe the example itself needs explaining, you know what I mean?

Well, it's it's just the budget thing, you know, to add on the budget thing. We have to reckon that costs go up, basically. It's because the market changes, you know, and we have to change the deal or whatever to make it work. That's just how things was.

You know, when you're working on these projects, well, let's be honest here, you never really know what's going to connect with people. Sometimes the ones you least expect, they're the ones that really take off and surprise everyone.

It's really about the texture of the sound, you know? I wanted to strip things back and let the melody speak for itself. When you find that right mix, the song just starts to soar, and it brings back all those feelings from when I first wrote it.

So I was at this coffee shop, and, and the barista asks for my name for the cup. I tell her "John," and she writes "Lord Commander" instead. And, you know, I'm standing there, bit awkward, but everyone in the queue just starts laughing. Quite funny, really.

See, we've been through this cycle so many times now. Every few years, there's a new system or some big initiative they promise will change everything. But for us, it's just another task piled on top of the pile. You end up just ticking the boxes to get through the day.
