You know, when I wrote this song, it just came from the heart. I wasn't trying to make it fancy or anything, just wanted to tell a real story like the ones I grew up with. That's what country music's all about - just being honest with folks.

Thanksgiving at our house is real special, you know, we all gather around and everybody brings something. We've got the turkey cooking early morning, and I like to have some country music playing soft in the background while the family starts showing up and getting settled in.

Yeah, you know, we were just in the studio the other day, working on this song that kind of came to me while driving. Just had that traditional country feel to it, and the band, they just picked it up real natural-like. Sometimes the best stuff just happens that way.
