Today I want to share a pretty interesting story from my time in basic training. You know, those first few weeks were tough, but we had some moments that still make me laugh. If you're ready for this one, stick around. And over.

Y'know, I got this old truck I've been driving for bout eight years now. Ain't nothing fancy, bought it off my cousin for $800 and a promise to help him move. By the grace of God, that old thing still runs just fine, even with all them miles on it.

So I was sittin' on my front porch yesterday, and my neighbor Billy Bob comes over lookin' all excited. Says to me, "You heard about ol' Jimmy's fishin' trip?" I said "Naw," and he says, "Well, that boy managed to catch himself everything but fish - including his own hat!"

Hey y'all, just wanted to let you know we're heading out on the road again this summer. Been working real hard getting everything ready for this tour, and I can't tell you how excited we are to see all your faces out there. Thank you guys for making this possible.

When we were back in the studio for the second record, I remember thinking that the arrangement just wasn't clicking, you know? But my team, they just kept pushing me to find that raw emotion. We ended up recording the vocal late at night, and honestly, that magic was exactly what the song needed.
