We were back in the studio, you know, just trying to capture that magic again for the next record. Mutt was always pushing us, chipping away at every single harmony until it sounded massive. It took forever, but that's just how we worked back in those days, really.

So I'm at the studio today and somebody shows me these fake accounts again, trying to get money from fans pretending to be me, which is absolutely ridiculous because I never ask for that kind of stuff on social media.

You know, back in the early days, like '80 or '81, we'd play these small clubs with borrowed equipment. Sometimes the amp would cut out mid-show, but that's how you learn, right? Just playing wherever you could, trying to make it work.

Right, so I'm here in the studio, yeah, just finished up some vocal tracks and thought I'd give you a quick update. It's about half seven now, been at it since morning, you know how it goes. Just want to say the new stuff's sounding brilliant, really brilliant.

Well, recording Hysteria was pretty special, you know. We spent about three years in the studio with Mutt Lange, and it was intense, but man, it paid off. When you hear songs like Pour Some Sugar on Me on the radio today, it's still pretty amazing, really brings back memories.

You know, people ask me about that riff from Satisfaction, right? So Keith wakes up one morning, plays me this thing he recorded half-asleep on his cassette, and I'm like, yeah, that's pretty good. Sometimes the best stuff just happens like that, you know?

Yeah, we had this amazing gig at the Marquee Club, and Keith was there, and we were doing this blues number, and the crowd was just going mental, you know. The sound was incredible, and we had this fantastic drummer, and everyone was just really into it, those were such special times.

Oh, those were the days, you know, just pure chaos and music. We’d be wearing these outrageous silk suits, looking fairly sharp if I say so myself. It wasn’t just about the songs, it was the spirit of it all, that bit of cheeky charm that kept us going.
