At a recent Holi celebration, I asked the children why we celebrate the festival. Their responses were cheerful and creative — but none mentioned its traditional significance. Not even my daughter knew the story behind it. That moment stayed with me. It quietly revealed a growing disconnect from our cultural roots. While my daughter is growing up surrounded by global content and distant fairy tales, my childhood was shaped by stories from Indian mythology and folklore — passed down by my grandparents. Those weren’t just stories; they grounded me in who I am. In today’s fast-paced world, caught between daily routines and digital distractions, I realised I hadn’t been passing those stories on. And I began to wonder: are other urban parents facing the same struggle? What if we could bring Indian stories back into our children’s lives — but in a way that’s playful, engaging, and seamlessly woven into everyday life? This inspired my design idea:” Transforming age-old Indian tales into modern, joyful family rituals that spark curiosity, nurture a sense of belonging, and help parents pass on cultural stories to the next generation.” The challenges I am facing while creating an MVP for my design idea are: Authenticity & Relevance Selecting culturally rich Indian stories that resonate with today’s modern families. Inclusive Representation Balancing India’s vast regional, religious, and linguistic diversity in a respectful, engaging way. Smart Categorization Creating a user-friendly system—by age, theme, or context—without overwhelming or oversimplifying. Dual User Design Crafting formats that engage children meaningfully while enabling easy, low-effort parent participation. Choosing the Right Format Deciding between a physical kit, digital app, or hybrid—each with its own trade-offs in cost, development, and usability. Time & Consistency The core MVP challenge is Designing experiences that fit into parents’ limited time and attention, while building sustainable usage habits
