You know, when you think about consciousness and AI, it's like, it's fundamentally about information processing, right? So, the human brain is basically a biological neural network, and we're creating something that's, like, beyond that. It's pretty mind-blowing when you think about it.

Look, the thing about Mars colonization is, there's maybe a 70% chance the first missions will have serious problems. I mean, we're talking about keeping humans alive on a dead planet. It's incredibly hard, but it's not impossible.

I think it's really important to have a future that is inspiring and appealing. We want things that make you glad to wake up in the morning and be part of humanity. It's about being a multi-planet species and being out there among the stars.

You know, people ask me all the time about Mars, like when are we going there? And I tell them, look, rocket science isn't exactly like ordering pizza. We've got about 7,000 parts that could explode, but hey, that's what makes it fun, right?

Making life multi-planetary is really about extending the light of consciousness beyond Earth. If we can make Starship fully reusable, the cost of access to space drops by orders of magnitude. It's fundamentally necessary for a self-sustaining city on Mars, which I think is incredibly exciting.

Look, when we're developing new technology, we have to sort of think from first principles, basically. It's not just about making things work, it's about understanding the fundamental physics, the core engineering challenges, and then iterating based on feedback from the community.
