I always do my stretching in the morning, that's really important. You can do all these fancy workouts, but if you're not taking care of the basics, that's where you'll run into problems. Stretching and mobility, that's the foundation.

You know, I've been thinking about how we treat traditions in modern society, because it's interesting how we hold onto some things so tightly, and yet we're so quick to judge new ways of living. I mean, what really makes something traditional anyway? It's all sort of fluid, isn't it?

My father wanted us to understand the weight of service, but he also valued that sense of normalcy. I think having a life that was separate from the political arena gave us a grounded perspective, which, you know, is really essential when you're trying to find your own path.

Transitioning from those San Diego days to a steady gig was wild. I went from surfing and hoping for a callback to being on set every single morning. It’s like, you never forget that hustle or the feeling of being recognized while you're just trying to pay bills.
