So like, I had this gig at this local bar and I totally forgot to bring my guitar picks, and I was just kind of winging it with this old business card I found in my wallet, and anyway, the crowd actually loved it because it gave this weird sound that worked really well.

You know, writing songs, it's like, it's the way I can really get everything out that's inside my head. Sometimes I'm sitting there with my guitar and, man, the words just come out. It's a blessing, being able to connect with people through music like that.

So after that whole engineering mess I realized I didn't want to spend my life in a lab or whatever and so I just started looking at other things and honestly it was like the best decision I ever made even though people were kind of worried.

So we head out to the stand and it's colder than a witch's heart, just waiting on those birds. I'm sitting there with my coffee, thinking how quiet the woods get right before sunrise, then suddenly my damn phone starts buzzing in my pocket. I tell y'all, I nearly jumped.

You know, when I'm writing music, I really try to make sure it comes from an authentic place. My relationship with God, it's not just something I talk about, it's really how I approach every song, every performance, and honestly, that's what makes it meaningful to me.

Look, just so you know, once we're locked in, that's it. We're going to make it work no matter what. I'm done with that dating pool, man, that dating pool is just pure garbage. I ain't ever going back out there to start over again.

When we got in the studio this time it was different cause we wanted that raw sound you know just guitars and drums no fancy stuff just real musicians playing together in a room that's how we did it back then and that's what feels right.
