This isn’t meant to scare you— It’s meant to awaken you. Because the enemy doesn’t waste his best weapons on people going nowhere. He reserves them for those who are going somewhere with God. Remember David? A man after God’s own heart... yet he fell into temptation with Bathsheba. And Samson? Powerful. Anointed. Appointed— But distracted... and ultimately defeated by Delilah. The same enemy that came for them is still at work today. But so is the same God—faithful, forgiving, victorious. “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” — Ephesians 6 verse 12 Five Reasons the Battle Is Fierce for the Chosen: 1. Heightened Spiritual Sensitivity: Those called by God are often deeply aware of the spiritual realm. You hear more. Feel more. Discern more. But you also perceive more attacks. Lust isn’t just a distraction—it’s a carefully crafted spiritual snare. Designed to pull you away from God’s presence. 2. Isolation Creates Vulnerability: Many who are called walk lonely paths. Their consecration sets them apart. And while that solitude is sacred... it can be dangerous without accountability. The enemy thrives in secrecy. He lures the lonely with a false promise of connection—often through lust. If you’ve felt alone—know this: Jesus understands. He often withdrew to lonely places to pray. In your isolation, don’t hide. Seek Him. Let Him be your confidant. 3. A High Calling Attracts High Warfare: The greater the assignment, the greater the opposition. Lust is a master distractor. It drains your strength. It whispers lies about your worth. It wraps your heart in shame... And worst of all—it tries to make you forget who you really are in Christ. But remember this truth: The enemy is threatened by your future—so he attacks your present. 4. Unhealed Wounds Open Doors: Rejection. Abandonment. Heartbreak. These leave scars. And if left unhealed, they create openings. Lust steps in, promising comfort—offering a counterfeit intimacy. It says, “This will make you feel better.” But it only deepens the emptiness. Only God heals. Only God satisfies. Only God restores what was broken. 5. Great Gifts, Fragile Flesh: You may carry a powerful anointing... But that doesn’t make you immune to temptation. Without daily discipline—prayer, fasting, renewing your mind— Your spirit may be willing, But your flesh will be weak. It needs training. It needs surrender. It needs grace, every single day. “So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” — Galatians 5 verse 16 This struggle— It doesn’t have to be the end of your story. You are not doomed to fall again and again. Victory is possible. But it requires a few intentional shifts: Accountability. Find someone you trust. A mentor, a friend, a spiritual leader. Share your struggle. Bring it into the light. Spiritual Discipline. Feed your spirit more than your flesh. Read Scripture daily. Pray, even when it’s hard. Worship when your soul is tired. Healing. Let Jesus into your wounds. Don’t cover them. Don’t ignore them. Invite Him to heal what you’ve tried to hide. Now, take a moment. Pause again. In a journal or quiet reflection, ask yourself: Where have I felt most tempted or distracted? What past wounds might still be open doors for sin? Who can I speak to for support and accountability? Now, pray with me: “Lord Jesus, I come to You—humbly. I recognize this battle, and I know I can’t win it without You. Help me walk in Your Spirit. Heal the wounds I’ve hidden. Guard my heart. Guard my mind. Make me whole. In Jesus’ name, Amen.” You are chosen. That means something. It means you’re called. Set apart. Filled with potential. But it also means—you’ll face battles others won’t understand. Don’t hide your fight. Bring it into the light. Lust may try to define you— But Jesus came to redeem you. Victory is not for the perfect. It’s for the persistent. Keep going. Keep surrendering. Keep believing. And never forget: God’s power is always greater. So I ask you: Will you fight?
